UPDATE: Hwy 97 now clear between Lake Country and Vernon

(UPDATE: May 17 at 9:01 am): DriveBC is no longer listing the closure along Hwy 97.

(Original story: May 17 at 5:15 am): Hwy 97 is down to single-lane alternating traffic between Lake Country and Vernon this morning.

The highway was closed to northbound traffic between Crystal Waters Road and Bailey Road earlier in the night.

DriveBC said there was a vehicle incident just south of Kekuli Bay Provincial Park.

Motorists have been warned to keep an eye out for traffic control.
