Since Spring has officially sprung, a walk downtown, through the lower mission, or up Knox Mountain and Dilworth Mountain just got a lot more colorful — thanks to the beautiful blooms sprouting up throughout the city!
We took some time to gather a few photos of the vibrant flowers you’ll have a chance to see over the weekend and three of our favourite spots to go to, to help your Instagram game blossom.
This one may be a given but we just had to make sure you didn’t miss out.
From the fiery red and yellow tulips planted throughout City Park, Stuart Park and Waterfront Park, to the stunning pink and white magnolias outside of City Hall and the Kelowna Community Theatre — a quick stroll along the boardwalk is now more magical than ever!
Usually quite quiet, Abbott Street is seemingly the hidden gem of Kelowna when it comes to Spring and Summer walkabouts. Lined with unique houses showcasing the best of trendy architecture throughout various decades a stroll down this street has plenty in store for you.
From sunshine yellow honeysuckles to neon purple hyacinth’s, lilacs and numerous tree blossoms of all shapes, colours and sizes, this peaceful area has all sorts of hidden treasures just waiting to be discovered and documented!
For those of you after breath-taking views, a hike up Knox or a casual trek through Dilworth offers up just that and more.
Not only will you get a panoramic view showcasing the incredible beauty of the city, but you can find an abundance of the golden Arrowleaf BalsamRoot (Kelowna’s official and most practical flower) and a host of gorgeous wildflowers of all colours!
