Affordable housing will be coming to Kelowna’s new Central Green project allowing low to modest income families to live in rental units.
The new 90 units will be built and operated by the Ki-Low-Na Friendship Society. The Society has more than 40 years of experience as they have provided support and housing service to First Nations people and individuals in need here in Kelowna.
Westside Kelowna MLA and Premier Christy Clark says, “Creating affordable rental housing is just one of the ways our government is putting the needs of families first in Kelowna and around British Columbia.” While Kelowna Mayor Walter Gray says the development will be integrated well into the new modern community.
The affordable housing development is located at 1700 Chapman Place and will be part of the larger city led development at the Central Green site.
