Of 43 patients transported to Interior Health hospitals, 22 remain in care with 3 in critical condition.

Of these 22 patients, 14 are at Kelowna General Hospital and 8 are at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops. While 3 people remain in critical condition, 2 are in serious condition and 17 have non-life threatening injuries. Lower Mainland hospitals are taking care of the other patients harmed in the accident, all of whom were in stable condition on Friday.

At approximately 2:39 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, a B.C. tour bus hit a median and skidded across several lanes of traffic to roll into a ditch. Road conditions were dry at the time of the accident, and investigation is ongoing to find what might have caused the tragic crash. Super Vacation, a Richmond-based tour operator, was taking the tourists through the Rockies and say that the driver was “very experienced”.
