The father of a missing five-year-old girl has issued a public statement to whoever may have his little girl.
Colin Marsman, 36, who also goes by the last name Paris, has begged for the return of his daughter Taliyah Leigh Marsman.
“With all my heart, I love her sooo much; she is my light! Please allow her to come home to her family,” said Marsman in a statement issued by a friend. “Those who know me best, know the person and kind of father I am and know more than anything I just want my baby girl back.”
This is the first time we are hearing from the missing girl’s father since an Amber Alert was issued by Calgary police early Tuesday morning. The search for the five-year-old is becoming frantic as police look for clues in the case.
“I want to make a plea to anyone out there who knows anything about where about where my baby is,” Marsman added in the statement.
“Please… It’s never too late to do the right thing! If you even think you might have seen something that could be a clue, let your local law enforcement know immediately.”
Taliyah’s mother Sara Baillie, 34, was found dead in a home in the community of Panorama Hills in Calgary Monday night. Taliyah has not been seen since Sunday by family members, but police believe she is still in the Calgary area.
Police say Marsman is cooperating with their investigation and many of his friends have taken to social media to support their friend.
“To all my people across the country, if you see this little girl, please help her, she's been taken. I've known her father, Colin Paris since high school & he needs to be reunited with his daughter, please share & share again until she's safe!” said friend Brian Pelrine on Facebook.
“Colin is a great father. He is in so much pain right now. We need Taliyah back,” expressed Jessica D Mardinger also on Facebook.
Taliyah’s family made a tearful plea for her return on Tuesday, begging whoever has the little girl to drop her off at a police detachment, grocery store or gas station. Police have yet to identify a suspect.
