Flex Academy Grows Again to Meet Kelowna’s Demand for Hybrid Learning

Flex Academy is on the move—again! After two successful years of redefining what school can look like, the innovative hybrid school is expanding its facilities to meet growing demand for the 2025–2026 school year.

Blending the best of in-person and online learning, Flex Academy offers students from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12 a chance to thrive in a flexible, student-centred environment. It's an approach that’s clearly catching on: following a facility expansion after year one, the school saw a 31% enrollment boost in its second year. Now, with another expansion on the horizon, they’re ready to welcome even more students—up to 25% more next year.

So, how does it work? “From Junior Kindergarten to Grade 5, our Foundations Program looks a lot like traditional school, but with a few key twists,” explains Director Bri Dyck. “We use subject specialists across multiple grades and offer mixed-grade learning opportunities.” Things get even more personalized in the Innovations Program for Grades 6–12, where students use digital tools to dive deeper into areas they’re passionate about, learn at their own pace, and even take learning into the community.

With a strong focus on critical thinking, tech fluency, and real-life skills like self-advocacy and executive functioning, Flex Academy is about more than just academics. It’s about growing the whole person—spiritually, intellectually, and emotionally. “We believe that hybrid learning is the future of education,” says Craig Kwiatkowski, COO. “In ten years, I think most schools will fall somewhere on the hybrid spectrum.”

Enrollment is now open for the 2025–2026 school year, and spots are filling fast. Learn more at flex.academy or visit their Instagram and Facebook.
