Big White Ski Resort is thrilled to announce its $5,000 donation to the Canada West Ski Areas Association's (CWSAA) Small Ski Areas Fund, an initiative designed to bolster the development and sustainability of smaller ski areas across Western Canada.

"The funds raised this year will have a profound impact, providing numerous small community and family-operated ski areas with the opportunity to enhance their Safety and Risk Management practices, further their education, including industry certification and training for new instructors, and actively participate in CWSAA functions and events," emphasized Ballingall. "We are proud to play a part in elevating the capabilities of our fellow-family ski areas through this fund."

Christopher Nicolson, President and CEO of the CWSAA, expressed gratitude for the donation, stating, "CWSAA and the entire industry appreciates the leadership of Big White Ski Resort and other ski areas to support the success of small community ski areas across Canada."

Big White Ski Resort's donation is part of a record-setting fundraising effort at this year's annual CWSAA conference. Alongside substantial contributions from Lake Louise Ski Resort, Sunshine Ski Resort, and Whistler Blackcomb, as well as numerous individual donations, approximately $38,000 was raised. This remarkable achievement marks the highest amount ever collected at the event, showcasing the strong community support and collaboration among Western Canada's leading ski resorts.

The CWSAA Small Ski Areas Fund is supported by various fundraising efforts from the CWSAA's members and associate members and has been a crucial resource for many communities. It aids in educating team members, enhances safety protocols, and ensures active participation in vital industry events.
