The Landmark District will be losing a hub for happy hours, post-work beverages and plenty more.
Mid-Town Station owners Dave and Rhonda Lindsay announced via social media on Thursday that they will be closing the restaurant and bar this spring.
More specifically, they said they’re “closing this chapter,” with the final day of operations set for May 8.
“Dave and I are so thankful for these past six years and everyone who has been part of it. Our team, our family, our friends and this incredible community,” Rhonda wrote in a heartfelt message.
“It’s hard to put into words what it’s meant to us, but we’re so proud of what was built and excited for what’s still ahead.”
What’s ahead is a big year for the Lindsays better-known downtown establishment as it celebrates a major milestone.
“You’ll continue to see us at the Train Station Pub as we lean into a big year ahead, including celebrating the Station’s 100-year legacy here in Kelowna,” their goodbye post explained.
They’ve left a bit of mystery behind what lies next for the prime Landmark District location that has been home to Mid-Town Station over the past six years.
Dave and Rhonda said they will “explore what’s next for Mid-Town,” suggesting that the location could flourish again in the future with a new concept.
For now, they’re celebrating the final few weeks of Mid-Town Station with all day happy hours every day, along with a few other features and pop-ups along the way.
They’ll shut the place down with a Mid-Town Send-Off Party on May 8.
