Sex toy recalled after customer reports unexpected inflation during use

A warning has been issued about a sex toy after it was discovered the product could unexpectedly inflate during use.

Health Canada said anyone in possession of the item – "Unisex by Eros and Company” – should immediately stop using it.

As of Feb. 19, one person in Canada has reported unexpected inflation of the product during use.

“When using this product with the controller (Mode 2), the instruction manual indicates to press the on/off button to turn off the product even though this button is absent from the controller,” Health Canada explained in its recall.

“This could lead to improper inflation or deflation of the product potentially causing a physical hazard.”

Users should contact the company and request a new instruction manual, the agency said.

According to Health Canada, the company has revealed it sold 2,474 of the products in Canada between May 2021 and January 2024.

They were manufactured in China.
