1. Hockey Hall of Famer Bobby Hull dies at age 84

The first man to ever score over 50 goals in the NHL has died. The Chicago Blackhawks confirmed on Monday that Bobby Hull died at the age of 84, but no further details were provided. While he was one of the most prolific goal scorers in NHL history, and a Hockey Hall of Fame inductee because of it, he also faced a number of legal and family issues off the ice.

2. Loblaws ends No Name price freeze

Loblaws will not be extending its price freeze on No Name products. It ends today after more than three months in place. The company said it will try to hold those prices flat “wherever possible” and claimed that buying No Name products will still save Canadian families thousands of dollars a year.

3. Boulder crashes through Hawaii home, barely misses owner

It’s fortunate that a woman was not seriously injured or even killed after a boulder crashed through the wall of a Hawaii home. A security camera captured the incident in which the boulder ploughed through the wall of the home and barely missed the homeowner inside.

4. Young girl dies in remote Cree northern Ontario community with no fire services

Tragedy has struck the remote Cree northern Ontario community of Peawanuck. A fire on Saturday claimed the life of a 10-year-old girl. The community does not have any fire services, but purchased a fire truck two years ago. Unfortunately, Peawanuck is only accessible by ice roads during the winter and it hasn’t been thick enough over the past two years to transport the truck to the community.

5. YouTube star MrBeast helps 1,000 blind people see again

One of the biggest content creators on the planet has made the world clearer for 1,000 people. MrBeast’s latest video showcases him paying for cataract removal for 1,000 people who were blind or near-blind but could not afford the surgery. The surgeries were performed by Jeff Levenson in Jacksonville.
