In the latest episode of Business Matters, presented by Valley First, a division of First West Credit Union, host Rob Cupello welcomes guest Cassie Clarke, marketing strategist at NowMedia Group and Business owner and founder of Sunny Space Studio.
Clarke's professional journey began in event management, where she maintained a full and demanding schedule. The challenges posed by the pandemic led to a shift in her career.
Reflecting on her experience living in Australia, Clarke shares insights into adapting to a new culture while also discovering the widespread popularity of Pilates in the country.
Intrigued by its benefits, she pursued certification in Pilates and eventually began teaching in Kelowna upon her return home.
Identifying a gap in the market in Kelowna for a vibrant Pilates community, Clarke decided to establish her own Pilates company, Sunny Space Studio.
Sunny Space Studio extends a warm welcome to individuals of all fitness levels, emphasizing inclusivity in its low-impact Pilates sessions.
She elaborates on her teaching approach, highlighting the emphasis on proper core engagement while customizing sessions to accommodate the unique needs and abilities of her clients.
When asked what she enjoys most about teaching, she says, "my personal favorite is pushing people to their limit."
Sessions can currently be booked through Instagram, and she is actively working on the upcoming launch of Sunny Space Studio’s official website.
Looking ahead, Clarke envisions taking her studio to greater heights. Her goals include opening a larger space, introducing group classes, and fostering a sense of community among Pilates enthusiasts in Kelowna.
