Exploring the empowering I Am Woman publication and NowMedia Group's 9th annual auction with Allie Chmilar

In the latest episode of Business Matters, presented by Valley First, a division of First West Credit Union, host Rob Cupello welcomes guest Allie Chmilar, an Account Executive at NowMedia Group.

Chmilar delves into the intricacies of her day-to-day role, emphasizing the importance of building connections with businesses and the community while assisting them with their diverse marketing needs.

”I like the freedom of being able to work harder and building connections with people,” she says.

She goes on to share details about her current projects, notably highlighting her involvement in the "I Am Woman" Publication.

I am Woman holds significant importance as it recognizes female leaders and their businesses in the Okanagan region.

The magazine is a powerful medium, reaching a wide audience through both hard copies distributed to around 4000 businesses in Kelowna and online via social media channels and eNewsletters.

The publication is an inclusive platform, open to a diverse range of individuals to share their experiences and insights.

Chmilar also talks about NowMedia Group's annual auction, which is back for the 9th year!

Businesses and individuals are encouraged to contribute gift cards and experiences, which are then auctioned off throughout November.

At the end of the month, the contributors receive advertising credits with NowMedia Group, applicable to their KelownaNow or NowCities platforms.

The auction features a wide array of products, ranging from hair salon gift cards and spa treatments to ski doo rentals, restaurant gift cards, overnight stays, and even hot tubs.

Participating in the auction becomes a strategic move for businesses looking to increase their brand awareness.
