During this episode, they discuss Kelowna Santas, a community-driven initiative that plays a pivotal role in providing support to families throughout the Okanagan region during the festive season.
In its 11th consecutive year, Kelowna Santas unites the community to collect, wrap, and deliver donations and gifts to families just in time Christmas.
A common challenge is the lack of toy donations for older children. To address this, people are encouraged to contribute gifts such as electronics, gift cards, sports equipment, movie passes, and experiences.
Kelowna Santas has 33 drop locations throughout Kelowna for toy collection. You can see a full list of drop locations here.
They also accept monetary donations which will be used to purchase toys for children.
In its fourth consecutive year of sponsorship, Brar from Kelowna Toyota emphasizes the alignment of values between Kelownanow and Kelowna Toyota as a driving force behind their steadfast support.
Secure-Rite Mobile Storage, also in its fourth year as a sponsor, echoes a commitment to community service that extends beyond the holiday season.
Vincent emphasizes, "community is a very common and core thread at Secure-Rite," shedding light on their year-round contributions to food banks, animal shelters, and various charitable initiatives.
One of the most gratifying elements of Kelowna Santas is witnessing the heartfelt reactions of the families, making every effort truly worthwhile, they share.
