British Columbia is reporting 406 new cases of COVID-19, this brings the total number of active cases in the province to 4,694.
Of the new/active cases this is where they are coming from in each region:
There are currently 445 people in hospital with 137 of those individuals in intensive care.
88 percent of people currently in critical care due to COVID-19 are not fully vaccinated.

In the past 24 hours, five new deaths were reported bringing the provincial pandemic death toll to 2,186.
Of the new deaths four were reported in Northern Health and one in Interior Health.
An additional two COVID-19 outbreaks have been declared in healthcare facilities in BC, bringing the active outbreak count to 41.

Since December, the province has administered 8,263,575 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
From the eligible people 12 and older in BC, 90.0% (4,171,944) have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and 85.4% (3,958,398) have received their second dose.
Of the eligible adults in BC, 90.4% (3,911,521) have received their first dose and 86.0% (3,719,485) have received their second dose.
