BC's lone Big Brother Canada contestant looking safe as double-eviction approaches

Big Brother Canada season 9 continues with a double eviction on the horizon.

Last week, we had to say goodbye to Kyle after Rohan clutched up and won the Power of Veto. This meant Kiefer, BC's lone competitor left in the house, wouldn't be competing in the upcoming "Invisible HOH."

Victoria would secretly win the Head of Household, having the advantage of no one knowing she was in power. Her move was to target Austin with Breydon as a pawn.

She told only Kiefer that she was the Invisible HOH, who advised her not to tell the others that she had won. Tychon, Jedson, Kiefer and Beth celebrated the whole week in complete shock that none of them would be targets.

After Austin and Breydon were nominated, it was time to pick players for the Power of Veto competition. The pair of nominees got what they thought was a favourable draw, with Tychon, Victoria and Rohan getting called to play in the comp.

Despite both Vic and Rohan promising to use the power on one of the two if they won, their words were not bonding. In a skyscraper-themed puzzle POV comp, only one person was coming out on top.

Ro won his second straight POV after assembling his puzzle quicker than any of the other competitors. Not wanting her plans changed, Vic urged Ro not to use the POV, claiming the entire house would see the game as him and Austin vs the world.

After some talk about replacing Austin with Tera spread around the house, tensions began to rise. Both Tina and Tera strongly pushed for Ro to keep nominations the same.

Feeling conflicted, Ro decided not to use the POV, all but sealing Austin's fate in this game. During the next episode, she would be sent home by a 7-0 vote.

Following Austin's eviction, the remaining nine houseguests competed in a memory HOH. The competitors had to stay up all night memorizing different pages of a calendar with specific things written on each date.

During the competition, it came down to Jedson and Beth who were the final two standing. The two were thrown into a tiebreaker where Jed said he threw it to Beth.

Beth's first win of the season finally gave her a chance to make a move for her game rather than just playing for "the boys." Her first move was to put both Tera and Rohan on the block as pawns.

That was followed by the start of a backdoor plan to get Victoria out, which would make her the first jury member of the season. This move bodes well for Beth, but could make waves between her, Ty and Jed who want to see Ro go home.

Up next, a POV competition that could change the whole season. A Rohan win ties him with six other BB houseguests for the most consecutive veto wins with three.

Shown below is where I believe some of the houseguests stand inside the BBC house:

Running the Game:

Beth: After her HOH win, Beth might be in the best position in the game. She is working with practically everyone and is no one's first target. She will never be taken out before Ty and Jed and has had alliance talks with Ro, Tina, Tera and Breydon. If she gets Vic out this week, expect her to slide into the top five with ease.

Kiefer: The BC boy continues to keep it rolling with no eviction in sight any time soon. Despite not getting the most love from the fans, he really only has to worry about Rohan winning an HOH, though he will probably just go after Ty and Jed anyways. Kiefer is another person who has lots of potential to get to the top five.

Ty/Jed: Everyone says they're going to go after the boys, though that is usually followed by "it's not the right time." Someone will eventually put these guys up on the block together, but it's been over five weeks now and they still haven't touched the block. Surprisingly, between the two of them, they only have one competition win, but that isn't their games, they are playing tremendous social games, which is helping them hard.

Fan Favourites:

Rohan: When you win competitions, people will respect you, when you're an underdog, people will love you. Rohan is both... He probably won't win the show as he has been on the block four times now, but he will definitely have fans when he is done.

Tychon: Everyone loves Ty. He is smooth, fun and has good relationships with most of the people in the house. He isn't going anywhere any time soon and will continue to light up our TV screens with that smile.

Breydon: Though he lost his best friend in Austin this week, Breydon is still loved by many. He is one of the nicest in the house and everyone enjoys his company. He is slowly getting pulled in by Beth, Ty and Jed so expect him not to go anywhere. He's also my favourite for this week!

In trouble:

Rohan: If you're on the block almost every week in the Big Brother House, something is wrong. I don't think it is Rohan's fault, it just seems like half the house always wants him out. Eventually, it will catch up to him and Rohan should be eliminated.

Tera: You can only float through the game for so long and it looks as though the house wants Tina inside rather than Tera. She is virtually always the second option now when the real targets can't be eliminated. She'll need to win a competition or two to change her fate in this game.

Victoria: Vic is playing harder than everyone in the house and that has been both good and bad. She will probably go home this week if she doesn't get a big veto win, which will make the show a lot less fun. She sort of put herself in this position though.

Thoughts from John Luke:

BBCAN9 has hit a bit of a lull midway through the season with some early favourites already eliminated. People loved Austin and Latoya, which has led to some claiming the rest of the season could be a wash. I for one hope it isn't as I think there are still good characters in the house. Beth and Kiefer are in great spots, which must feel super nice. Beth chirped season 8 on the live feeds, something that hurt me, but what can you do? I think she, Breydon and Kiefer are in the best positions moving forward, though I think only Kiefer would get love from the jury for the kind of game he is playing. Let's hope for a good end to the season. This double eviction could be wild if Vic and Ro are the targets.

These opinions are just based on the 15 aired episodes. Those looking for up-to-date information are encouraged to check out the BBC live feeds.
