Is the Okanagan Canada’s version of the Jersey Shore?
A new television show shot in Kelowna over the summer certainly seems to imply that.
Canada Shore will debut on Paramount+ on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2026, and it’s touted as the first-ever Canadian version of the iconic MTV hit show Jersey Shore.
It features 10 “bold and unapologetic Canadian singles” who shared a swanky Kelowna lakefront home, leading to a summer of “romance, friendships and full-throttle fun.”
“From coast to coast to coast, these 10 larger-than-life Canada Shore roommates are ready to party, flirt harder and turn every night into memories (and maybe a little mayhem),” a press release explains.
“But it's not all hookups and hangovers. Beneath the chaos is a crew that laughs together, fights together, and somehow becomes a family.”
It’s the kind of reality show that many will scoff at, while others have likely already circled Jan. 22 on their calendar.

For the latter, the cast has now been unveiled and these are the faces you’ll get to know if you tune in:
The nationwide casting call to be a part of Canada Shore happened in the spring and the 10 people chosen were in Kelowna just weeks later for filming.
While this is the first-ever version of Jersey Shore in Canada, the original reality show that ran from 2009-12 has spawned 18 spinoffs all over the world.
