Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and OpenTable has delivered another relevant list.
The online restaurant reservation and review service, which specializes in these types of seasonal rankings, dropped its list of Canada’s Top 100 Romantic Restaurants.
Four well-known Okanagan establishments, in Kelowna, West Kelowna, Lake Country and Vernon, are included in the top 100.
Those spots are:
- BLOCK ONE Restaurant at 50th Parallel Winery (Lake Country)
- Home Block at CedarCreek Estate Winery (Kelowna)
- Old Vines Restaurant at Quails’ Gate Winery (West Kelowna)
- PeakFine at Sparkling Hill Resort (Vernon)
According to OpenTable, the list is compiled using more than 1.1-million diner reviews and ratings.
“The Top Romantic Restaurants list, backed by diner insights, is back again, highlighting Canadians’ favourite spot for rendezvous,” said Matt Davis, OpenTable Canada country director.
Davis noted that 51% of Valentine's Day reservations are made at least five days in advance of the holiday, so anyone hoping to secure a table at one of those four establishments may be out of luck at this point.
The Okanagan establishments are four of 11 British Columbian spots on the list. Six of the other spots are in the Lower Mainland, while Vista 18 Restaurant + Lounge in Victoria is the lone Vancouver Island representative.
