Kelowna patio guide: 12 patios to experience in Glenmore and Lake Country

Aimed to help both residents and tourists who are looking for new spots to eat and drink outdoors this summer, our patio guide will come in seven parts (each a different neighbourhood) over the course of the week of April 10-16.

These stories will just give you the tip of the iceberg when it comes to patios in a certain area, as we can’t highlight them all, but it gives you a starting point that will surely lead you to other great outdoor spots nearby!



With spots in Glenmore and all three neighbourhoods of Lake Country, you will get to experience views of Okanagan, Kalamalka and Wood lakes when visiting these patios.

Whether you are a wine connoisseur, fan of wood fire baked pizzas, explorer of new dishes or prefer to stick to the classics, there is something for everyone on this list.

Not only is the food worth visiting at these establishments, but the experiences and stellar views make these patios a must-visit on your summer bucket list.


Lake Country

Block One Restaurant

17101 Terrace View Rd. ( 50th Parallel Estate Winery)

  • This outdoor dining experience is located at Carr's Landing and gives you incredible views of the vineyards and Okanagan Lake.
  • The menu gives your tastebuds the opportunity to try something, that odds are, you have not tried before, like the squid ink fettuccine.

Chaos Bistro

1525 Camp Rd. (Ex Nihilo Vineyards )

  • The Chaos Bistro at Ex Nihilo Vineyards has stellar Okanagan Lake views while being located in the quiet area of Okanagan Centre.
  • The big green lawn and the surrounding vineyards make for an enjoyable place to relax while trying a glass of wine from the winery's wide selection. The menu is filled with gluten free and vegetarian options.

The Garden Bistro

2290 Goldie Rd. (O’Rourke’s Peak Cellars Winery)

  • Lush green grass and grapevines surround you while you enjoy your meal on this spacious patio. In between Okanagan Centre and Windfield, this eatery is a short trip from either neighbourhood.
  • The menu has a wide variety of appetizers to be shared before you enjoy something from the entrée and pizza menu, along with a large selection of wine.

Intrigue Wines

2291 Goldie Rd.

  • Across the street from Peak Cellars, Intrigue Wines has a beautiful wide open green picnic area surrounded by their vineyard. You’re allowed to bring your own food and it is pet friendly.
  • Seating is first come, first serve, so no reservation is needed.

The Jammery

8038 Hwy 97

  • Combine all you can eat waffles and tasty homemade jam with a beautiful day outside on the patio and you have the perfect recipe. The Jammery is well known for its breakfast and is almost always packed with patrons.
  • The Jammery uses local fruit in their jams that are made in house and you can watch the jams be made through a window inside their gift shop.

Turtle Bay Pub

2850 Woodsdale Rd.

  • A beautiful patio located right beside Wood Lake, you get to enjoy the unobstructed views of the water and trees while enjoying the friendly atmosphere of the neighbourhood pub.
  • The menu has varying options of casual eats that anyone can enjoy.

Woody’s Pub

9882 Hwy 97

  • This pub is easily accessible because of its location on the highway and it is everything a pub needs to be. Beer, burgers, sports and Keno, this Lake Country staple claims to have the best burger and that would be a tough argument to prove wrong.
  • The outdoor patio is simple, but perfect for those wanting to enjoy the Okanagan weather while being at a fun local establishment.

The Salty Caramel Kitchen

11407 Okanagan Centre Rd. W

  • This fully vegan/vegetarian café's patio is a small oasis along Okanagan Centre Road. The menu is small, but the perfect size to grab something refreshing, whether that be something from their breakfast and lunch menu, or something sweet that is baked in house.
  • Steps away from the café is Okanagan Lake, in the quiet area of Okanagan Centre, a perfect weekend afternoon getaway that’s close to home.

The Lookout

1055 Camp Rd. (Gray Monk Winery)

  • Located on the hillside at Gray Monk Winery, The Lookout claims to have the best patio view in the Okanagan Valley and it is easy to understand why. Enjoy a glass of wine while relaxing on this modern sleek patio.
  • Take your friends, family or even a big group, all are welcome. The restaurant has a rotating seasonal menu that showcases local farmers and ingredients.

Pane Vino Pizzeria at Gatzke's Farm Market

3996 Irvine Rd.

  • A little bit of Italy in Oyama. This farm to table restaurant is located at the beautiful Gatzke's Orchard farm market and is surrounded by fruit trees. Steps away from the restaurant is Kalamalka and Wood lakes. Bright vines cover a pergola over top of the dining area, allowing the right amount of sunlight and shade during your dining experience.
  • The Neapolitan style pizzeria uses as many local ingredients as possible to support Okanagan farmers. The menu is filled with varying pizzas, pastas, salads and desserts like a Nutella and white chocolate calzone.

Glenmore

Brandt's Creek Neighbourhood Pub

435 Glenmore Rd.

  • A neighbourhood staple in Glenmore that's been around since the 90s. The friendly and welcoming atmosphere of this pub makes it a comfortable place to eat. Whether it’s your first time visiting or you’re a regular, you will feel welcome.
  • The pub has a large selection of foods including burgers, sandwiches, salads, pasta. There's something for everyone on this menu.

Flip Flops & Hops Eatery

1974 Kane Rd.

  • This casual eatery in Glenmore is a great place to stop when you want to quickly get a snack and drink, or if you want to sit down and relax with friends for awhile.
  • The menu has four different types of macaroni and cheese, plenty of shareables and a couple sweet desserts to chose from.
