Mounties in Kamloops are hoping the public can help identify the suspect in an indecent act investigation.
According to police, the female victim was shopping at the Value Village thrift store in the 900 block of Columbia Street late in the morning of Friday, May 29.
“She felt someone staring at her and turned to observe a male allegedly masturbating in the aisle near her,” an RCMP release explains. “When the suspect realized the woman had seen him, he fled.”

Police provided the following description of the suspect:
The suspect was wearing a floral button up shirt and gold rimmed sunglasses at the time, and was seen leaving the parking lot in a late-model, silver Honda Civic.
“To date, police have been unable to identify the male and are now releasing a photo to further the investigation,” noted S/Sgt. Janella Shoihet.
Anyone with information about the man’s identity is urged to contact the Kamloops RCMP detachment at 250-828-3000 and cite file 2026-16921.
