You’ll likely see a lot of runners on the roads in Kelowna on Saturday morning.
The Kelowna Wine Country Half Marathon is back for another year with well over 1,500 runners signed up to take on one of three distances.
All of them will finish at Waterfront Park, with the half marathon beginning at the intersection of Rose and McCullough roads.
Participants in the 10 km race will start at where the Mission Creek Greenway meets Swamp Road, while 5 km runners will begin at Gyro Beach.

Of course, this will mean a few hiccups on the roads Saturday morning, particularly in southeast Kelowna, with traffic control measures getting underway around 6:30 am.
Flaggers will be at several intersections to execute rolling closures, ensuring that participants can move safely along the route.
The half marathon race route, available to view here, will wind through southeast Kelowna before linking up with the Mission Creek Greenway and finishing along the waterfront.
All traffic impacts are expected to conclude by 10:30 am, but drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, allow for extra travel time and follow traffic control personnel directions on Saturday morning.
