(UPDATE: June 13 @ 6 pm) - The search for a missing Kelowna man has come to a tragic end.
The RCMP says 32-year-old Mitchell Gowing was found dead in Lake Country today.
"Police do not suspect criminality, and the investigation has been turned over to the BC Coroners Service," an RCMP release explained.
Gowing was last seen at his place of work near in the 1500 block of Harvey Avenue on Tuesday and was reported missing on Wednesday.
Over the past two days, the search for Gowing was centred around Wood Lake and Spion Kop after his vehicle was found abandoned on Pelmewash Way on Friday.
The RCMP did not provide any information regarding where Gowing's body was found.
(Original story: June 11 @ 9 am) - Mounties in Kelowna are turning to the public as they try to track down a missing man.
Police say Mitchell Gowing, 32, has not been seen since Tuesday, June 9.
“Gowing was last seen in the 1500 block of Harvey Avenue at his place of employment and was reported missing by his family,” an RCMP release explained.
“They are extremely worried about him as this behaviour is very uncharacteristic.”

Police provided the following description of Gowing:
Gowing’s vehicle is a white 2008 Ford Ranger with BC plates SY6249.
Anyone with information on Gowing’s whereabouts or who has had recent communication with the missing man is urged to contact the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300 (file 2026-35435).
