Want the scoop on new and exciting spring and summer vacation destinations? Then you better head down to the annual Spring Travel event at Kelowna International Airport on February 28th from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
The annual event attracts thousands of local residents who come to learn about what new vacations options are available.
“We love hosting this event,” said Jenelle Hynes, YLW Business Development and Community Relations. “This is a great opportunity to explore travel options from YLW as well as to learn just how easy it is to explore Canada, the U.S. and the world for that matter with one of our non-stop flights or with as little as one connection. With the airlines serving YLW and their code share partners, the possibilities of booking an amazing travel adventure from YLW is endless.”

Along with some vital travel information, the event will have a number of travel-prizes lined up for the taking. For example, Air Canada recently announced daily service on its new leisure airline Air Canada rouge to Toronto beginning in June, and in celebration of this announcement, they'll be providing tickets for two to Europe.
Air North will be providing a prize package that includes tickets for two to Whitehorse and three nights hotel stay for a Yukon adventure.
All proceeds garnered from this event will go toward a local charity. This year, the charity of choice is the East Meets West Orphan's foundation, a charitable organization founded locally that provides medical treatment and educational training for abandoned and destitute children in Kolkata, India.
Prize ballots will be available at the draw table: $5 for one, $10 for three or $20 for six. The draw for all prizes awarded by YLW will be made at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday February 28th. All winners will be notified by the airport.
Free parking will be provided in the long-term parking lot during the event hours. Attendees are required to bring in their parking voucher to be validated at the event.
