Kelowna RCMP is investigating the city’s first homicide of the year and has identified the victim as Warren Welters.

The 51-year-old’s death has been confirmed as a homicide by police after his body was located in a home at 941 Bernard Avenue on June 14th. Police continue to secure the scene and are investigating any and all leads at this time. The cause of death has not yet been released and the investigation is ongoing.

RCMP is looking for information regarding the incident or anyone who had been in contact with Welters during the day and evening of June 14th, 2015. A dedicated tips line has been set up and anyone with information can call 250-470-6236.
