For people wanting to travel to and from Kelowna without spending a fortune, a new transportation company is hoping to have your back.
NewLeaf Travel will be releasing new Canadian route information on Wednesday, with conferences at the Kelowna International Airport, the John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport, and Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport.
Calling itself “Canada’s newest ultra-low-cost travel company” the company said they work to keep costs to travellers minimal, while still providing a good overall experience.
Bob Jones, Chief Commercial Officer with NewLeaf, said earlier this year they will stick to secondary airports and have “no intention” of going into larger markets like Vancouver, Calgary, and Toronto.
Specific prices have not yet been released.
Locally, flights will be operated by Flair Airlines Ltd. of Kelowna B.C.
Last year, ski resorts within the Thompson-Okanagan teamed up with the company to bring more vacationers to the region during Spring Break, offering lower-cost bundles.
