Travel Company NewLeaf has announced its non-stop routes from Kelowna to various destinations with fares that start at just $89.
Customers will be able to begin flying on the airline starting February 12th, 2016. Flights will be between Halifax, Hamilton, Winnipeg, Regina, Saskatoon, Abbotsford, and Kelowna.
“It’s a New Year and we are happy to say 2016 is the year we officially bring affordable travel back to Canada!” said Jim Young, President and CEO of the NewLeaf Travel Company.
The airline, which is operated by Flair Airlines, will service customers as an ultra-low cost travel company and will not offer all the bells and whistles that other air carriers do. To achieve the lower base fares, which are inclusive of taxes and fees, food and drinks will not be offered, passengers are encouraged to print off their own boarding pass, and book online instead of over the phone. Passengers will also be charged if they have carry-on luggage or checked bags.
Telephone booking service will also be available, for a fee, seven days-a-week from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Central Time at 204-888-BOOK and customer assistance available at 204-888-HELP.
The company says it will look at flying to sun destinations in the future and will release more information about this in the coming weeks.
Flights will not be daily and flight times vary, at YLW the airline will fly to Winnipeg twice a week, on Saturday and Wednesday. Flights will head to Regina once a week on Sundays, Saskatoon on Monday’s and Fridays, and Hamilton on Sundays.
