Several fires in the North Okanagan are being deemed as suspicious.
The Vernon North Okanagan RCMP are currently investigating a number of fires that have started in the area and investigators believe some of them have suspicious nature.
A number of plain clothed and uniform resources have been assigned to these investigations and RCMP officers will be working with local fire officials.
Their efforts will be focused on determining what caused each fire. If the fires are deemed to be human caused and intentionally set, investigators will look for the people responsible for setting them.
The public is asked to remain alert to any suspicious activity that may be associated with these fires and to report any new information to the RCMP.
