Which Kelowna area has the highest and lowest house prices?

Interested in buying a single-family home in Kelowna?

A recent map posted by Jaime Briggs from Coldwell Banker Horizon Realty could offer some insight into which Kelowna areas might best suit your price-range.

from Coldwell Banker Horizon Realty

According to Briggs, the data came through their Multiple Listing Services board system, which records the average price of all households sold from the start of January to December 31st, 2016.

The report doesn't provide any details regarding the quality or sizes of the homes.

“The prices came right from our sold listings on our board real estate system and includes everything sold from January to December 31st, 2016,” said Briggs. “These averages are only for single-family homes, not including townhomes, condos, or leased land. It's also important to remember that these stats do not indicate what every house is worth, as there are highs and lows in each neighborhood."

The map reveals Glenrosa and the Rutland North and South to be the least expensive areas to buy single-family homes, with average costs ranging from $418,534 to $454,848.

In contrast, Lower Mission, Lakeview Heights and Upper Mission are the most expensive areas to buy homes, with average costs ranging from $821,429 to $914,772.

The Central Okanagan Multiple Listing Services (MLS) 2016 Statistics also revealed the median price of residential homes in the Okanagan increased 15% from 2015 to 2016.
