240-unit apartment building proposed for Kelowna's Capri neighbourhood

An apartment complex with more than 200 units is being proposed for Kelowna’s Capri neighbourhood.

On behalf of the developer (Millennial Developments Corp.), Kelowna-based Lime Architecture has submitted plans for a proposed six storey, or 22 metres, building on Pridham Avenue.

The building, which has been named Revo Kelowna, would have 240 units.

There would be six townhomes while the rest of the homes would be condos. There would be 147 micro suites, six studios, 40 on-bedrooms, 36 two-bedrooms and five three-bedrooms.

Design plans say the developer chose to provide “generous” amenity space due to the proposed unit mix.

“Further to the proposed unit mix and amenity spaces, the developer has taken an innovative approach toward the creation of a “green building,” the application says.

“The “green building” idea includes planting as part of the building design emphasized by a raised landscaped courtyard.”

Those amenities would include shared lounges, a gymnasium, bike storage, bike repair shop, storage lockers, terraced greenspace on the second level, and a rooftop patio and atrium.

Vehicle parking would be available in a lower parkade with access off Pridham Avenue.

Lime Architecture’s letter of intent says pedestrian access would be available off both Pridham and Sutherland.

No variances have been identified with this proposed project.

This application has been circulated at city hall, however, planning staff may require more details before forwarding it to council for consideration.
