A new apartment building proposed for Glenmore Drive has been given the green light from city councilors.
On Monday, a proposal for a six-storey, 99-unit apartment was supported.
The building will be going up at 1260 Glenmore Dr., which is across from the Kelowna Golf & Country Club.
The apartment will have 25 studios, 39 one-bedrooms and 35 two-bedrooms.

A total of 98 residential parking stalls and 14 visitor stalls will be provided, including one MODO car-share stall.
The developer plans on providing 75 long-term bicycle parking stalls.
Amenities will include an outdoor amenity space with games and seating areas and an indoor amenity space including a communal kitchen, seating area and additional games.
Landscaping will see six new trees planted along Glenmore Drive, seven along the laneway and four within amenity spaces.
Developers will be providing a short-term loading space off the laneway to help with drop-offs and move-in/move-out activities.
Vehicle access will be off a laneway at the rear of the property.

Coun. Lovegrove applauded the amount of parking stalls despite this being on a Transit supportive Corridor.
Coun. Stack complemented the building design.
“I appreciate that they’ve broken the building up on the east side, which faces the neighbourhood. (It) actually gives it some interest and helps with the transition between an old existing neighbourhood and the newer one,” he said.
Coun. DeHart had similar comments.
“I think it's a very attractive building,” she said. “They have fairly large balconies, even though (the facade) will be broken up. And being on a Transit Supportive Corridor and giving 113 parking stalls, (...) I mean I can’t believe it.”
Coun. Wooldridge also applauded the design and the building workings a transition between two neighbourhoods.
Next steps will see the applicant receive their building permit, which will allow construction to begin.
