BC Conservatives nominate Kelowna Centre candidate

The Conservative Party of British Columbia has announced its candidate for the Kelowna Centre riding in next fall’s election.

Receiving the party’s nomination is realtor Kristina Loewen.

The announcement on the party’s website states Loewen “has been an integral part of the Kelowna community for 25 years.”

The party adds that with her real estate background, she has a “deep understanding” of the local housing market.

Before being in real estate, Loewen held various roles in the healthcare system, such as a care aide and a doula, helping families during childbirth.

“Kristina Loewen's blend of professional expertise, community engagement and strong conservative values make her a compelling candidate for Kelowna Centre,” adds the announcement.

“Her dedication to empowering individuals and families, coupled with her commitment to affordable housing and fiscal responsibility, positions her as a candidate who is ready to lead Kelowna into a prosperous future.”

The other candidate to be announced for the Kelowna Centre riding is BC United’s Dr. Michael Humer, the former chief of surgery at Kelowna General Hospital.

The 2024 provincial election will be held on or before Oct. 19, 2024.
