Caesars will be celebrated in Kelowna next month.
For a third year, Caesar Week will return to Kelowna for an eight-day competition to determine which restaurant or bar has the best Caesar in the region.
It will run from Sunday, May 12, through Sunday, May 19, which means it will include National Caesar Day on Thursday, May 16.
As always, local establishments are being asked to register to participate by visiting the Caesar Week website.
Those who choose to be a part of the friendly competition are promised additional foot traffic throughout the eight days along with promotional assistance from organizers of the event.
In 2023, the winner was West Coast Grill & Oyster Bar with their West Coast Grand Caesar.
The winning drink had one ounce of Sombra mezcal, one ounce of Ampersand gin, teriyaki sauce, Vietnamese fish sauce, onion pickled juice, Worcestershire sauce, horseradish, Chinese chili sauce and Clamato juice.
It was garnished with celery, red and yellow pepper, cheese, sausage, pickled onion, a dehydrated lime slice, deep-fried pickles, deep-fried prawns, green beans, olivers and chili flakes on the rim.
When the competition debuted in Kelowna two years ago, Tonics Pub & Grill won the inaugural competition with The Snack Caesar.
It featured two ounces of Stoli Vodka, Clamato and a few other spices and liquids to jazz things up, then was garnished with the pub’s famous lemon pepper wings, steamed prawns, a mini Caesar salad bite and more.
