Downtown Kelowna could be getting a second floating sauna and cold-plunge.
Harborview Ventures has submitted a development permit application for a new facility, which is proposed for the downtown marina.

The application says the facility would include a floating dock platform with two barrel-style saunas, a suspended cold plunge cafe, changing facilities and shelter.
“The sauna will operate seasonally (winter months) to provide wellness, recreation, and tourism services within Kelowna’s lakefront area,” the application says.
Developers say the project aligns with the City of Kelowna’s Official Community Plan (OCP) by emphasizing sustainable development, enhancing public amenity and activating waterfront areas.
So far, the name Kuva Sauna appears in renderings.
Staff in the city’s development department have yet to circulate this application. But once they do, a report will be prepared for city councillors to consider.
If this facility is approved, it would join the Loyly floating sauna and plunge pool, which opened at the end of 2023.
