With the term social distancing having now entered its way into society's cultural rolodex, many people are finding themselves without the local services that make Kelowna so great.
Whether it's missing your weekly hot yoga class, not being able to fill a growler at the local brewery or your favourite crafts store closing, times are strange to say the least.
As a result, many local businesses are working to reinvent their services in order to serve those stuck at home, as well as maintain clientele during what are certainly tough economic times.
For the sake of efficiency, we've compiled Instagram posts from local businesses, however, for the full scoop on reworked services you'll have to visit their profiles.

It is with a heavy heart that we share that MYK will be temporarily shutting the doors. This is a choice that we are making proactively to stand as a community for the actions that we can take that will make a difference in the health of the collective. The Prime Minister called on all Canadians today to stay inside/minimize contact with others as much as we can and out of integrity for what MYK stands for, it's the choice that needs to be made. So by closing our doors we are standing with the humans of this nation and the planet, to surrender to a deep knowing that this will unfold as it's supposed to and to hold the outcome of when and how with an open palm. This is why we practice, so now we lean into the presence that's possible when we honor the breath and land in this moment. Although it can feel like a time filled with so much uncertainty, it's a strong invitation to presence. So we want to remind you when that desire for control rises, when that needing to know how this is all going to unfold bubbles up, or the surfacing of fear with your thoughts, acknowledge this humanness and turn to your breath. Allow yourself to land in this very moment. This is a practice and although choosing breath may seem like a simple thing to do, it's not always going to be easy, so hold yourself with grace and lean into the remembering that you have the strength of your community and together we will RISE again. One day, sooner than we think, we will gracefully walk back into that hot room together and we will be stronger for weathering this storm together. Now more than ever, we need to lean into more love, compassion, kindness, patience and presence. This is why we practice. When the moments get dark or uncertain, remember your breath is your friend. It can be as simple as extending both your inhale and exhale to calm your nervous system, to allow you to use your voice, reach out, ask for help and allow yourself to receive. You are so worth it. We are working hard to bring your yoga into your home so that you can remain connected to your community and your practice. Stay tuned! Stay healthy. Stay at home. ❤️

Food and Beverage
Retail and Crafts
We have the power to save lives right now. For that reason, we will be closing the doors to shop hours until further notice. We will be doing by appointment shopping only, stay tuned for detailed posts and highlights to see how this will work We will be spending additional time photographing as many new items as possible and listing them both to our Instagram stories as well as the online shop. We will be offering FREE local delivery twice a week. Continue to reach out, ask us for your desired items, your dream looks and all the things you need to stay inspired. In turn, we will continue to list new items daily and continue to safely source an abundance of stock, we are so excited to show you what’s coming. Going forward, we will pause buying hours and not be accepting items from the public until we re-open. This choice was a challenge for us as a small, community based business but it is a challenging time in different ways for everyone and that is why we have to take care of ourselves and take care of each other. We are in this together and it’s an opportunity to dig deep, show yourself and others what you’re made of. Ask yourself what’s stopping you from doing your part? The answer may help to guide you now in this time and change your future self. Love & light ✌🏼 Lost Together

What a crazy time our world is experiencing right now, hey?! I feel like we need to take things day by day, and even though that's difficult for someone like myself who looooves to be in control, it's all we can do. Please note that KB will be open by appointment only tomorrow Tuesday, March 17th). You're welcome to contact us to set up a time to meet at the shop, or to shop either online at karmycbazaar.com, OR if you see something you love on social media we can arrange to deliver it to you locally, or ship it. We'll reassess again tomorrow night and announce our hours for Wednesday onwards as things progress. Thank you all for your patience and understanding during this uncertain time. Please feel free to reach out too if you'd like to chat about anything, share a pun, etc. We're all in this together! With gratitude, Jennelle 🙏🧡
