Local golfers will get at least one more season to enjoy Kelowna Springs Golf Course, but they’ll only get to play half of the course.
In an announcement sent out Friday afternoon, the Play Golf Kelowna collective shared that Kelowna Springs will transition to a nine-hole layout for the 2025 season.

“While this may be disappointing to many of you, it is a far better outcome for golfers than seeing the course shut down entirely at the end of the current 2024 golf season,” reads the announcement.
The change will see the front nine holes, warm-up areas, clubhouse and parking remain the same while the back nine holes “slowly transition to a ‘single height,’ low maintenance grassed area at the end of this season.”
The existing golf operations owners have agreed to run the nine-hole course on a one-year lease with a plan to have an updated pricing structure completed by the end of October or November.
The Denciti Group purchased the 106-acre property in February 2023 and following community outcry, the future use of the land was changed from industrial back to private recreational.
“Beyond the 2025 season, Denciti has committed to work on a long-term lease for a nine-hole golf course with a new operator,” added the announcement.
“If this happens, the current operator plans to sell the golf course operations business to the new operator.”
