City of Kelowna staff are recommending support for a rezoning application for a property on Glenmore Drive.
On Monday, council will review an application that, if approved, would see 1064-1084 Glenmore Drive rezoned from the MF1 – Infill Housing zone to the MF3 – Apartment Housing zone.

An application for this project was submitted in June 2023 by Lime Architecture on behalf of Lake Edge Developments.
The application indicates there would be 67 units with a mix of one, two and three bedrooms in a six-storey building.
A rooftop amenity space would include a dining and lounge area, a fire pit, barbeque area and landscaping.

According to the application, there would be 70 vehicle parking spots with three visitor spaces.
In addition, the developer will provide 50 bicycle parking spaces.
Parkade access would be provided from a laneway located off Highland Drive.
“The applicant is required to dedicate 0.80 m along the laneway, a 5.0 m x 5.0 m corner cut on the Glenmore Dr – Highland Dr N intersection, and a 3.0m x 3.0m corner cut on Highland Dr N and the laneway,” says the staff report.
“The completion of the dedications is a condition of final adoption of the zone.”
Staff say they are recommending support because the project is consistent with Official Community Plan future land use designation, it is on a transit supportive corridor and the site is close to schools and parks.
