After a delay due to the Central Okanagan wildfires, Kelowna’s muddiest canine adventure course returns tomorrow.
The Dirty Mutter, hosted by Results 4 Life Fitness, is a race course where participants travel over, under, through and around obstacles in the mud.
This year’s event is open to canines and their support team, as well as individuals and teams without dogs.
People of all fitness levels are invited to take part, and spectators are more than welcome.
Prizes will be awarded for the muddiest dog, best costume, best team entry, volunteer vote, and cleanest dog.
All proceeds will help cover the costs of food, shelter and veterinary expenses for the animals at Rescue Ranch, which is a non-profit animal rescue located in Black Mountain.
“Each animal that comes to us has a different story,” Rescue Ranch explains. “Some may be injured and need care, some because of a medical condition or age, and some because a proper home could no longer be provided for them.”
“Regardless of the reasons, we do our best to keep them happy, healthy, safe and loved.”
Anyone interested in participating in the Dirty Mutter can get their ticket here.
