School is back in session in just a couple of weeks and that marks a service change for the Kelowna transit system.
Weekday schedules for routes that service Okanagan College, UBCO and schools will be increasing starting on Aug. 31.
As part of the service change, school trips will resume on routes 4 Pandosy Express, 8 University/College, 23 Lake Country and 97 Okanagan.

Some route changes will also go into effect for route 19 Glenore/Orchard Park.
BC Transit said booking times for route 15 Crawford On Demand have also changed.
“To ensure trips can be completed before the end of service, please book before 6:30 pm during the week and 5:30 pm on weekends and holidays,” BC Transit said.
There will also be minor changes to trip times across West Kelowna, check the latest schedule for full details.
Transit users are reminded that construction in the Mission area continues to cause detours for route 16 Kettle Valley. That will also result in a decrease in frequency on that route as well as route 17 South Ridge so be sure to check the schedule for details.
Don’t forget that September is the final month of current transit fares.
Transit fares across the Central Okanagan go into effect on Oct.1.
