Grab your favourite flannel and a pumpkin spice latte, because fall officially begins on Saturday.
And there’s no better way to celebrate the return of fall than with the Kelowna Scarecrow Festival, as the 2023 edition will be held on Saturday at Rutland Lions Park.
It’s a great event to bring the community together and celebrate creativity, with this year’s event promising to be bigger and better than ever.
Of course, it all centres around a scarecrow building contest, as people are encouraged to create their own scarecrow masterpiece for a chance to win prizes.
But that’s not all, as the festival has a wide variety of activities for the whole family to enjoy on the first day of fall.
That includes a community market with local artisans and vendors showcasing their crafts and goods, a great chance to support local businesses.
There will also be live entertainment and plenty of food and refreshments, along with children’s activities to keep the young ones entertained and excited.
Admission is free, so there’s no excuse not to get the family down to Rutland Lions Park to enjoy a fun day in a beautiful setting.
The 13th annual Kelowna Scarecrow Festival runs from 11 am until 3 pm on Saturday.
