Local musicians partnering with Kelowna’s Gospel Mission for fundraising concert

Kelowna’s hip-hop community is coming together for a great cause ahead of the holiday season.

Hip-Hop for Hope will take place this weekend, a debut music fundraiser to support Kelowna’s Gospel Mission.

It will be held from 7-11 pm on Saturday, Nov. 25, at the Okanagan coLab space at 1405 St. Paul St. in downtown Kelowna.

Travis Andrews, who performs under the stage name Frantic, says all money raised from the night of music will help the KGM fund their efforts to feed the local unhoused community.

“Each meal the KGM makes for those in need costs them around $3,” he explained. “Our goal with this show is to raise at least $900 for 300 meals!”

The cost to get in is $10 and it will all go directly to the KGM.

Along with Frantic, the event will also feature Alxsea, Darion Rae, DJ Ginja, Rachel Geek, Paul Rusu and Noir Dance.
