A brand new market will debut in Kelowna today.
The Okanagan Spring Moon Vintage Market will be held at the Laurel Packinghouse from 11 am until 3 pm.
The unique event will bring together more than 30 of the Okanagan’s best vintage dealers to sell their wares in one convenient spot.
“From vintage clothing, jewelry, records, upcycled art, vintage comics and books, housewares and more, shoppers are bound to find something interesting,” says organizer Sarah Rempel.
Rempel has a history of organizing similar vintage events on Vancouver Island and says she’s excited to bring the fun to the Okanagan.
“I love nothing more than bringing people together in a fun and memorable setting. Vintage items produce a shared sense of nostalgia that connects everyone, no matter your age,” Rempel explains.
“Vintage shopping is more than a trend, it’s a lifestyle here to stay. A trend that is evident with the abundant amount of vintage buyers and sellers in the Okanagan!"
Kelowna DJ Thistle will be on location playing nostalgic beats throughout the event to provide an exciting atmosphere for shoppers.
Tickets to get into the Okanagan Spring Moon Vintage Market are $5 at the door and partial proceeds will go to the Kelowna Share society.
“This non-profit organization provides quality self help opportunities and material support to promote personal growth for people in need,” notes Rempel.
The Kelowna Share society will also have a large booth at the event to see their vintage goods, but you can visit their thrift shop in town at any time as well.
