Small Shop Weekend is returning to downtown Kelowna this weekend.
The Downtown Kelowna Association (DKA) says the “Spring To It—Shop Local” will kick off on Friday, April 19 and will run through to Sunday, April 21.
“The small act of shopping locally makes a huge impact by keeping jobs and dollars in Kelowna,” says DKA Executive Director, Mark Burley.
“Downtown Kelowna is home to a wide variety of excellent businesses that contribute to the vibrancy and diversity of our beautiful city. We’re thrilled to bring back Small Shop and extend the promotion to a full weekend.”
The three-day event highlights local small businesses in the downtown core, including special initiatives at participating businesses, in-store promotions, product demos, clearance sales and more.
Additionally, visitors to the Small Shop Weekend will have a chance to enter one of several prize packages.
To enter, shoppers will visit the contest page to complete an entry form and upload a copy of their receipt for a min. $10 purchase made at any Small Shop participating location.
Shoppers who drive Downtown can enjoy the first two hours of on-street parking free in Downtown Kelowna on Saturday. However, anything after that will require payment with the exception of the city’s three parkades.
