Got more craft supplies than you’ll ever be able to use? There’s a local event coming up that will help you with your purge while giving back to a good cause.
The makers of the popular Great Closet Cleanout are bringing a brand new event that will declutter your crafting closet.
They’ve been helping local ladies clear out their gently used clothing for the past four years in Kelowna all while giving back to community charities. The Craft Closet Cleanout will be in support of the Okanagan Boys and Girls Club.
“We look forward to supporting another local charity with our events, in addition to supporting the Okanagan Boys and Girls Club, we also have events that support the Central Okanagan Food Bank and Mamas for Mamas. Over the last few years, the events have raised over $6000 for charity and donated 12,000 lbs of clothing. Thanks to everyone who has come out to Shop, Save & Support!” said Rosanne Ting-Mak Brown, organizer of the Great Closet Cleanout series.
The event will be held at the Kelowna Boys and Girls Club – Martin Centre 1434 Graham St, Kelowna on Sept. 23, 2018 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. The will be door prizes, plenty of great deals, and the first 100 visitors through the door will receive a reusable bag to take home their treasures in.
If ladies clothing is what you’re looking to clean out of your closet, the next Great Closet Cleanout event in Kelowna is set to take place on Oct. 14,2018, and in West Kelowna on Nov. 18, 2018. The Kids Closet Cleanout will be on Oct. 21, 2018.
