Thousands of Jehovah’s Witnesses from the BC Interior will be making their way to Kelowna for a convention this weekend and the public is invited.
The convention is set to host more than five thousand visitors from 41 congregations across the BC Interior from Friday until Sunday.
“Conferences of this scale have a major and positive impact on our economy as they support our local businesses, accommodations and experiences as well as introduce visitors to the destination,” says CEO and President of Tourism Kelowna Lisanne Ballantyne.
“It has been a pleasure to partner again with Jehovah’s Witnesses to bring the JW Convention back to Kelowna and we look forward to welcoming guests this June to enjoy exploring our city once again.”
The theme of this year’s event is Declare the Good News and more information, including the schedule, can be found at this link.
“It’s a real pleasure working with the venue staff, tourism Kelowna, and the many hotels,” said Derek McCoy, local spokesperson for Jehovah’s Witnesses.
“The annual convention is always a highlight of the year and this year’s theme will be particularly encouraging as the program focuses on good news. With the many problems and challenges we are experiencing, it is encouraging to know that the future is bright.”
