A rising star on the country music scene will play his first shows in Western Canada later this year and that includes a stop in Kelowna.
Cooper Alan announced the six-show run on Thursday and it starts in Manitoba before making its way over to British Columbia.
On Sunday, Oct. 29, Alan will play an all ages show at the Kelowna Community Theatre. Tickets are on sale now.
The North Carolina native was born into a family of music fans and he formed his first band when he was only in grade eight.
In the years that followed, he honed his craft and embraced the life of a musician, which for Alan had several different directions before he settled into the artist he is now.
“I was always driven by the show – even more than the songs,” he admits. “I got into this whole thing playing in bars, and it was all about being an entertainer, just giving people a hell of a night.”
Now 27, Alan has racked up more than 100-million Spotify streams and a massive social media presence, with eight-million followers on TikTok.
With a deep, resonant voice and plenty of popular songs like “First Rodeo,” “New Normal,” “Tough Ones” and, of course, his “Colt 45” country remix, his Kelowna show is sure to be a good one.
