Downtown Kelowna is always a bustling place during the summer and that will especially be true on Thursdays this year.
The Downtown Kelowna Association (DKA) is debuting a new night market this summer that will take place over 12 Thursdays between the end of May and end of August.
It’s part of this year’s Meet Me on Bernard programming and will take place from 4-9 pm on Thursdays at Kerry Park, with the debut scheduled for May 30.
The Downtown Kelowna Night Market will feature a mix of nearby businesses along with local artisans, crafters, local food producers and community-based entertainment.
While the first Thursday night market is still a little more than two months away, vendor applications are now officially open.
“A minimum of 10 spaces will be reserved exclusively for DKA members. DKA member vendors are brick and mortar businesses and thereby classify as re-sellers; these are the only re-sellers permitted at the Night Market,” explained a DKA statement.
“All other vendor applicants shall be farmers, crafters, food producers or other small businesses whose products are grown, baked or handmade in British Columbia.”
The DKA added that interested vendors can apply to be a part of one, six or all 12 markets.
An application can be filled out at this link, although the completion of the form does not guarantee any vendor a spot at the Downtown Kelowna Night Market.
