If you are looking for an easy way to make some extra cash this summer and a new friend, the Okanagan Sun have the perfect deal for you.
The Sun are a little more than a month away from their 2024 season and searching for billets for some of their players.

Billets will receive $700 a month per player throughout the season from the start of July until the end of October or the beginning of November, depending on how far the team goes in the playoffs.
The Sun play in the British Columbia Football Conference (BCFC) and the players range in age from 17-22.
The conference is a part of the Canadian Junior Football League and the team travels all over the province for games, going as far west as Victoria and as far north as Prince George.
“Billeting can be a rewarding experience for both the player and billet,” reads the Sun’s website.
“Over the 30-plus-year history of the Okanagan Sun, many of these relationships between billets and the player have continued long after the player graduated from playing junior football. Billets have attended players’ weddings years later etc.”

The Sun will begin the season at home on July 20 against the Langley Rams, followed by three straight weeks on the road, including a BCFC championship rematch against the Westshore Rebels.
