Police said in a public bulletin this morning that he is "safe and well."
They added: "The Vernon North Okanagan RCMP would like to thank the public and our media partners for their assistance."
(Original story: May 3 at 10 am): Okanagan Mounties are calling on the public for help to find a missing senior.
Enderby resident Thomas Hart, 65, reportedly left his residence on Enderby-Grindrod Road around noon on Thursday.
He has not been heard from since.
“He is believed to be travelling on foot and may be hitchhiking, trying to make his way to Alberta,” explained an RCMP release.
“Hart may appear confused or disoriented if approached. His family is concerned for his well being.”
Police provided the following description of Hart:
According to the RCMP, he was last seen wearing a navy Helly Hansen sweater, black jeans and beige shoes, and had a backpack as well.
Anyone who has seen or heard from Hart, or has information regarding his whereabouts, is urged to contact their local police.
