Well, you better be because Rock the Lake just dropped its 2020 lineup and it is one you won’t want to miss.
Riddled with memorable veteran acts to hit the RTL stage over the years and some of the most iconic rock acts from previous decades — you can expect to be sore from headbanging and hoarse from singing along all weekend long.
Get ready to live out your rock and roll fantasy with this guitar slinger. A staple in Canadian glam rock, Nova has been topping charts since the mid ‘80s with his own hits and ones he wrote for other arena-rock titans.
Following a mind-bending performance at RTL 2017, that was swimming with their prog-influenced hits and one still-talked-about rendition of King Crimson’s “21st Century Schizoid Man,” April Wine’s return is a welcome one that we cannot wait for.
This line up just keeps “Gettin Better” thanks to the addition of Chilliwack! Ready for a rockin' return to the RTL stage this band is guaranteed to muster up a great time.
Canada’s golden child, Colin James, will bring his defibrillated take on the classic blues to Rock the Lake this summer. No stranger to the valley, James has Kelowna shaking its “Voodoo Thing” quite often, though we know his RTL set will be where the real magic resides.
Returning to its roots, RTL is bringing back inaugural year act Harlequin to make us all a Victim of a Song once more. If you were not lucky enough to catch them last time, expect through-the-roof energy and a setlist that will bring you back to your glory days!
Hailed as one of the most prolific rock bands to come out of Eastern Canada in the ‘80s, Haywire will have nostalgia running rampant with their uplifting hits. This band alone is worth “Standin’ In Line” for a while just to get tickets.
Fun Fact: Back in the day, they went on tour with this next legendary act.
It will be hard to recreate the magic of his last visit to Rock the Lake, but if anyone is up for that kind of job we know the previous Max Webster frontman is. Get ready to report for “Rock N’ Roll Duty” because we know Mr. Mitchell goes hard at his shows and expects nothing less from the crowd!
As they proved during their 2016 RTL performance, Loverboy will have you “Lovin’ Every Minute” of their show. From Reno’s spot-on vocals and close connection to the Valley, having these boys back in Kelowna will be a homecoming for the ages.
It seems as though we just can’t have a RTL festival without these Scottish rockers, and why would we want to? They are always so exciting to see!
There really is no better example of the marriage between Canadian blues and Jazz. This Vancouver band has had a knack for producing songs for any and every music lover, making them a perfect fit for RTL!
This Ontario new-wave act has us eager to pull out our hair spray and leg warmers, as their music will undoubtedly bring us back those “Old Emotions” first felt in the ‘80s!
