Close to 100 local pups and their owners got to spend their Saturday afternoon frolicking through the mud and sunshine thanks to the very first Dirty Mutter Event.
An idea brought to fruition by Dustyn Baulkham (Rebellious Unicorns Events) and Rhonda Laturnus (Results 4 Life Fitness), Dirty Mutter allows pets and their owners to bond all the while supporting a worthy cause.
Hosted at the Results 4 Life acreage, Dirty Mutter offers a fun-filled 2.5 km mud-ridden obstacle course to attendees.
From hopping over tires, army crawling through the mud and slipping down the finish line waterslide, the event musters up dirt slathered smiles in abundance.
Aside from ending up covered in mud from head to toe, (or paw), attendees can expect to have their hearts warmed knowing the funds they contribute and raise are going to local non-profit, Paws It Forward.
Before even hitting the halfway mark, Dirty Mutter has been able to provide $9,000 to the local rescue.
Following their traverse through the course, attendees and their dogs could browse the variety of vendors tables, as well as mix and mingle.
The sunny skies, wagging tails and full hearts made for a first event that attendees won't soon forget, as well as one you can look forward to joining in on next time.
If you and your kids are looking for something fun to get involved in, the dynamic duo of Baulkham and Laturnus will be hosting another event next weekend. The Black Mountain Cub Crawl will also be taking place at the Results 4 Life acreage next Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
