Okanagan RCMP seek owners of 'significant' amount of cash

Okanagan Mounties are looking for the owner for a “significant” amount of cash that was recently turned into the detachment.

According to the release, the money was found near a business in the 4400-block of 25th Ave in Vernon.

The release says the cash was found on Friday, May 24.

“If you think it might be yours, please contact the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP,” the release says.

If you believe the money is yours, the RCMP say you should be prepared to describe the amount and denominations in order to claim it.

The detachment can be reached at (250) 545-7171 and refer to file number 23023-8015.
